The Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an undergraduate program for two and half years for registered nurses to enhance their knowledge. The program concentrates on the processes of learning, improving the quality of nursing, knowing and furthering ideas like health promotion, illness prevention and health care administration. It provides practical knowledge on nursing care and enhances knowledge on the rationale of health care practices. Some of the important fields of specialization are theory related to nursing, community health, mental health and medical surgical nursing. Leadership competencies and critical thinking and evidence based practice nursing training skills are other important features of the program.

To be eligible for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, candidates must have completed a GNM program, be registered as an RN/RM with a State Nursing Council, and typically possess a 10+2 qualification. Medical fitness and required documentation are also necessary.
