GNM - General Nursing and Midwifery
The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program is the diploma course of three and half years that is aimed at preparing the students to become professional nurse. This program mainly aims at skills in patient care, disease prevention, and health promotion to produce graduates competent to practice in any health care facilities. It comprises community health, maternal and child health, and medical surgical nursing and it focuses on clinical experience. The program also brings out analytical ability, interpersonal and communication skills, and managerial skills needed in the treating of humans.

Normally taught by the Faculty of Nursing, the GNM program is designed to produce students for the clinical practice and health care support in hospitals, community health services and government health departments.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the GNM program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education WITH 45% (preferably in science) from a recognized board, meet the age requirements set by the institution, and be medically fit.
Duration of GNM
The GNM program duration is 3 years, comprising six semesters and including an internship period.
Course Level
The GNM program at our university is a full-time diploma course with regular lectures, clinical practice, and lab sessions.

- Staff Nurse

- Public Health Nurse
