MA(HIS)

Master of Arts in History is a two-year postgraduate course that is designed to provide students with increased knowledge of history, events, cultures and developments. This course looks at history from the ancient period, the medieval period, the modern period, methods of historical inquiry, and the development of societies, politics, and economies. Students develop important analytical disposition and learn how to research and analyze historical texts; they learn to teach, work in government and heritage organizations, etc.

In this program, students learn history from prehistoric to modern history and also learn different types of history and approaches to doing history. It is based on seminars, case, research and field studies and internships through which students learn to interpret history, facts and findings.
